✦ Very low calorie condiment ✦ Glucosinolates from mustard seeds ✦ Turmeric provides colour and curcumin ✦ Moderate sodium

Prepared yellow mustard is a mild, bright-yellow condiment made from ground yellow or white mustard seeds, vinegar, water, turmeric (for colour), and salt. It is very low in calories (~60 kcal/100g) and provides glucosinolates from mustard seeds, which have antioxidant properties. It is moderately high in sodium. Its mild flavour makes it the most widely used mustard style in American-influenced cuisine.
