Weak black filter coffee has a lower caffeine content (typically 40-60mg per 200ml) and fewer chlorogenic acid polyphenols than average-strength coffee. It suits those sensitive to caffeine or reducing their intake while still benefiting from the polyphenols and ritual of coffee. It is virtually calorie-free when drunk black.
A good transitional option for those reducing caffeine intake. The polyphenol benefits of coffee are dose-dependent; weak coffee provides less than average or strong preparations.
