Fine-cut frozen chips fried in corn oil are thin, crisp par-cooked potato strips cooked in corn oil, which is rich in polyunsaturated linoleic acid (omega-6). They provide carbohydrate from potato, modest potassium and some vitamin C, and polyunsaturated fat from the corn oil. Energy content is around 200–250 kcal/100g when fried.
For the crispest result, spread chips in a single layer on a baking tray in a hot oven (200°C+); turning halfway through cooking ensures even browning. Do not add extra oil — the coating applied during processing is sufficient.
