✦ Creamy nutty flavour ✦ Plant protein and fibre ✦ Folate and manganese ✦ Absorbs stock flavours well

Borlotti beans are a speckled cranberry-coloured Italian bean with a creamy, nutty flavour and starchy texture. Dried, they provide concentrated plant protein, fibre, folate, manganese, and iron. Their colour fades to a mottled pink-beige on cooking and they absorb the flavours of stocks and aromatics particularly well.

Preparation note
