Almond butter is ground from whole almonds, concentrating their nutritional profile into a spreadable form. It is the nut butter highest in vitamin E, and also provides monounsaturated fat, magnesium, manganese, riboflavin, and useful plant protein. It has a lower saturated fat content than peanut butter.
Stir well before use as natural oils separate on storage; store in the fridge after opening. Use as a spread, blend into smoothies, or thin with water and lemon for a satay-style sauce.
